AVRIL LAVIGNE R.O.C.K.S. FOUNDATION by Valeria Sánchez

Avril has made a lot of charity works to help different causes, such as the following ones:
*Record a couple of songs to raise funds for the Amnesty International foundation and to support the War Child organization.

She and other artists joined forces with Amnesty International to celebrate International Human Rights Day (December 10), recording a CD with a series of Lennon covers, as part of the "Make Some Noise" campaign.

She recorded a version of Bob Dylan's "Knocking on Heaven’s Door" for a CD in support of British-based children's charity War Child.

*Perform at a Prince's Trust event, London Party in the Park.
The Prince's Trust offers support by training, mentoring and financial assistance to help disadvantaged young people achieve their potential.
In 2004 Avril Lavigne performed along with John Rzeznik the mega-hit "Iris" by the Goo Goo Dolls, and she also appeared in the event of 2007.




*Join to the Race to erase MS foundation.
Avril is really engaged with this foundation since many years; she has sing and modeled for them. In 2010 she incorporated to the Board of Directors.
This fundation focuses on the figth to erase MS.

*Donate items for the Grammy online charity auction.
Lavigne donated items for the Grammy online charity auction benefiting the Grammy Foundation and MusiCares.

She has also appeared in ALDO ads with YouthAIDS to raise money to educate people worldwide about HIV/AIDS.
