THE BORN BRAVE BUS

A BODY REVOLUTION

In September 2012, Lady Gaga launched a new project called A Body Revolution 2013 to address poor body image and body acceptance, in part, because media outlets had negatively remarked on supposed weight gains by the performer.

To start the project she posted pictures of herself in underwear and asked others to follow her lead stating "May we make our flaws famous, and thus redefine the heinous."

THE MERCURY PHOENIX TRUST by Gabriela Herrera

As the first major rock star to die of AIDS, Mercury's death represented a very important event in the disease's history. In April 1992, the remaining members of Queen founded The Mercury Phoenix Trust and organised The Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert for AIDS Awareness to celebrate the life and legacy of Mercury and raise money for AIDS research, which took place on 20 April 1992. The Mercury Phoenix Trust has since raised millions of pounds for various AIDS charities.

Since 1992 the Mercury Phoenix Trust has been responsible for the donation of more than $15 million in the fight against AIDS making over 750 grants to charities worldwide.

In association with the Trust, the Freddie Mercury Photographic Exhibition opened at the Royal Albert Hall in London on 22nd November 1996 offering an insight into the life of a small boy who rose to rock glory and died before his time. Since then the exhibition has travelled the globe raising AIDS awareness.

In May 2002 the long awaited Queen and Ben Elton musical ‘We Will Rock You’ opened in London. The Trust has benefited from various nights at WWRY performances around the world.

NBA CARES by Martín Rivera Arvayo

Hi guys!, well is really important to know that charities are such a big help for those who hasn’t the facilities to get things like us, that why some people with big heart, make some actions for the help of the people who need a hand. I knew that NBA has an organization called NAB CARES. This organization was founded in 2005. It’s really awesome how with such a little help, they can make a big change. NBA cares not only goes to orphans houses, they go to hospitals, schools and such other things, they don’t only play with the children, they give them shirts, pants, balls, and such other cool things that they will make a big smile on the ones that they need. They have around 810 places all around the world, where children and their families can live, learn and play.
